Options for Same-Sex Couples Who Wish to Start a Family
Starting a family is a legitimate and meaningful life project, regardless of the sex, gender, or sexual orientation of those who pursue it. At Baja Fertility Services, we firmly believe that all families deserve equal respect, access to healthcare, and professional support to make their dream a reality.

Ethical and Personalized Treatments
Thanks to advances in reproductive medicine, there are now several options that allow same-sex couples to achieve pregnancy, actively sharing the process according to their needs, possibilities, and desires. Whether the couple is made up of two women or two men, there are clinical alternatives tailored to each situation, always under the care of a specialized team.
Options for Female Couples
- Intrauterine Insemination (IUI) with Donor Sperm:
An outpatient, painless procedure with a good success rate in young women with regular ovulation. It involves placing prepared sperm directly into the uterus during ovulation. - ROPA Method (Reception of Oocytes from the Partner):
Allows one woman to provide the eggs and the other to carry the pregnancy. It involves IVF with donor sperm, medical evaluation, ovarian stimulation, and embryo transfer. This is a meaningful and emotionally powerful option.
Options for Male Couples
Gestational Surrogacy:
An egg from a donor is fertilized with the sperm of one of the partners. The resulting embryo is transferred to a woman who agrees to carry the pregnancy. In Mexico, this procedure is only permitted in certain states under specific legal conditions. Baja Fertility can provide both legal and medical guidance in these cases.
